First things first!

So far this year has been BIG for Dylan!

Jan 1st - He tried semi-solid foods for the first time, as seen below he wasn't all that impressed!

Jan 7th - After lots of hard work his first tooth came through.

Jan 11th - He mastered rolling from back to tummy, although once he is there he isn't all that happy with it yet.
His hand-eye coordination is also improving. In fact his new trick when lying in bed is to hold his hand in the air and wait for his mobile to come around so he can grab the animals, like he is setting a trap! I am so proud.

Here is a LONG overdue montage of the little cutie...click on it for a better view!

More Holidays...

Thanks to the Madsens for coming up for a Christmas dinner! We had so much fun catching up and playing with their cute girls!!

New Years Eve Ryan and I planned the party at his parents house. With his sister and her boys in town we wanted to do something extra fun. During the day we went with the family to the Lion House for lunch and JSM for a movie, we dedicated the day to Ryan's mom as a Christmas gift, it was great! That night Ryan and I made Chicken Tikka Masala and homemade Naan for the whole family, I must admit it was delicious! We then started the competitions... a bracket for Wii Tennis and Pool and elimination for Buzz on PS3 and Bananagrams. Each game gave points to determine ultimate placement for the evening... The rankings from 1st to last...Ryan, Jim, Beth, Florence, Mike, Grandpa & Lisa. Thanks everyone for participating it was so much fun!!

**Tis the Season**

This year we started a new family tradition to ease the full schedule of Christmas Day. We celebrated Christmas with my family the Sunday before! Great idea Curtis! We had them up for a nice family dinner of Roast Beast and all the trimmings before opening presents and a rousing game of Wii Mario Kart. It was so much fun to see Dylan get all excited about the paper, bows and of course toys. I was surprised how involved he was for such a little guy!

Christmas Eve we went to Ryan' aunts house for dinner. It was incredible! I mean really amazing food, it makes me hungry just to think about it. We played a fun present exchange game, sang carols and ended the night with Seinfield Scene It.

Christmas morning we slept in, have to enjoy that before Dylan gets older and into the whole Santa thing! Then we opened Dylan's stocking and our presents to each other before heading to the Thomas' for breakfast and presents with the family. That afternoon we went to Marley and Me, I had already read the book (which I loved!) and having our Lab/Akita Sasha I could really relate!! We then spent the evening playing games, Bananagrams and Buzz (for PS3), all in all it was a fun, relaxing yet exciting first Christmas with Dylan!
