Puppy Dog Tales....

This is our adorable Capri...causing mischief!!

We keep her in the laundry room while we are gone, with a gate instead of closing the door so she doesn't feel so trapped (yes, I attribute human emotion to animals). Well on this special Easter Sunday she escaped and proved to us once again why we have to keep her in a room instead of roaming freely with Sasha. What you see here is at least one full roll of paper towels, a legal pad and some miscellaneous papers she found. I have to wonder how long this took her and what role seemingly innocent Sasha played in the affair...

The second mess is her haircut and not technically her fault! I usually take her to a groomer but upon returning from work yesterday I was surprised to find Ryan had decided to take this on himself. What would compel him to do such a thing? I have no idea BUT he did a fantastic job and cleaned up the mess. Not to mention Capri is looking quite stunning with her new do, don’t you think!?

Welcome baby Sawyer

Our 2nd little nephew was born Monday! Ryan's sister Lisa and her husband Kelly have a 2 year old cutie named Lincoln who has been anxiously awaiting the arrival of baby brother Sawyer. He has been saying "baby come out" for weeks now.
It's so exciting for all of us, I just wish they lived closer!

You can tell they will be great buddies!!

Boston, Freakin' cold Boston!

Last week I spent 3 days in Boston for work and I came home SO SICK! The second night I got a chest cold and it came on fast, I am blaming it entirely on this cold, wet city. Keep in mind I LOVE Boston in the summer and fall, but winter and spring? You can have it!



It didn't help that I had to get up at 4:15AM EST to catch my flight on Thursday so I was running on very little sleep. By the time I got home I was feeling terrible and running a fever. I hardly moved the entire weekend but my fever was gone by Friday afternoon. Typically I work from home so my schedule is more flexible but starting Monday I am working onsite for a client in SLC, I could have definitely used a couple more days of rest. All in all I am feeling better, luckily I have been sleeping well even without taking medication. The sad thing is now Ryan has it and he is miserable, I think it's the worst cold he has ever had! Poor guy... hopefully we will be back up and healthy after this weekend. I can't even tell you how happy I am tomorrow is Friday!!!

17 Weeks Down ~ 23 To Go

So far I have been lucky with this whole pregnancy thing! I have felt great 90% of the time, which is flying by... I went to the doctor last week and everything went well. The wiggle worm held still long enough for a good heart read coming in at 153 which is perfectly healthy. The exciting news is that the date has been set and the big exam for the baby is March 27th! They will determine that all is going as planned with growth and development and we will get to find out if a little boy or little girl is coming our way. I was hoping it would be sooner but this is good timing for Ryan's mom to be back in town from DC where Lisa is having a baby boy any day now!!
